The NM
Media Industries Strategy Project is:
• A public/private partnership
• A framework for local and regional
planning
• A priority for the Richardson
administration, and the State of New Mexico
MISP was formed to guide
NM’s media industries development over the short, intermediate, and
long-term.
The project enjoys state, philanthropic, and private sector
participation.
More than anything, MISP is a process: a way to plan
cooperatively using our full range of resources
state-wide.
"Media Industries" Defined
The MISP Strategic Plan defines "media
industries" as broadly as possible. The focus comes from the
recommended niche strategy.
From film & TV to visualization, simulation, and modeling, to
videogames, interactive and mobile applications, virtual reality,
tele-medicine, distance learning, Computer Generated Imagery,
animation, and "info-media."
The Plan also spans hardware, software, consumer devices and
professional tools, and content development, production, and
distribution.
We’ll invent all new forms right here.
